Someone that posses a good sense of humor is healthier than someone who doesn’t have such a great sense of humor?
Somebody with a good sense of humor is definitely healthier than someone who lacks the essence of another person putting forth effort to keep people around them, as well as themselves to be just “happy.” Having a good sense of humor means that you are able to speak freely without being afraid to offend somebody, as well as being able to accept it when it is brought upon them, as well, naturally, people who aren’t as stressed just look a lot happier and healthier because they don’t allow certain things to bother them as much. By differentiating the difference between a good jokes and allowing other matters to be taken so offensively, you’re confusing your own emotions. The more you don’t let things get to you or bother you as much, the better you will feel. You should always try to concentrate and focus on the depth of the matter before jumping into conclusions, but it never really works out that way because of emotions. With emotions, you’re not able to let certain things go away so easily. There’s an old Eastern medicine phrase that, “Emotions are the causing variable to 100 different diseases,” which is true, because it causes an imbalance in your body, as well as, we can’t be too happy either.
Scientifically speaking, “laughter is the best medicine,” because when you laugh, you release endorphins, which are chemical hormones in your body, so it allows you forget about pain. It also helps regulate breathing, so laughing is also used in a lot of breathing exercises, it’s a natural way of allowing your diaphragm to contract and relax. It’s also a good workout because its good cardio, it increases your heart rate, as well as working your abdominal muscles too. Have you ever laughed so hard your stomach hurts? It’s because when you laugh, it creates little micro-movements in your abs, allowing them to naturally have a good workout. In the movie, “Patch Adams,” he manipulates cancer patients with laughter and this will naturally allow them to heal by spreading positivity, good energy, hope, and natural happiness which stimulates the body with good, positive, natural effects. Laughter is also good for hypertension patients. People who naturally have a lot of stress and get agitated easily, are the ones with many different blood pressure medications in their bathroom cabinet.
Life is all about problems and obstacles, opportunities that turn out to be risks, and failures and mistakes that also create opportunities. I’m not indicating that some people go through more problems than others, but a lot of people do take life for granted for more than what it’s worth. Everybody has problems, and everyone has stress, but it’s how you go about solving those problems without letting it get to you mentally that your emotions takes over and controls your ability to think clearly so you can take the appropriate steps and the proper actions to move forward. If you allow your emotions to slow you down, you’re slowing down on your own, but the universe is still moving and it’s not waiting for you. For what it’s worth, my father has always told me that the 3 poisons in world are greed and desire, anger, hatred, and violence, and ignorance and egotism. He also said that the people who see the glass half empty, rather than allowing it to be seen half full, are the most unhappiest people in the world, and it’s because they take life for granted and they don’t appreciate what they already have.
